Annie, from Taiwan,
Transferred to UC Irvine

My major was originally Business Administration, but I switched from Business Administration to Communication and then to Psychology.  It was really the counselors and professors at IVC that helped me navigate to my future path.  After taking the pre-requisite courses and talking with professors, it helped me realize what I actually have passion about and that helped me to choose my major of Psychology.

Josh, from South Korea
Transferred to UCLA:

I was a triple major at IVC studying Biology, Chemistry and Physics – I wanted to get into medical field.  I did some research and found out that Dean Zhao who is the Dean of the Math & Science Department at IVC is a medical doctor. I thought that a school that had a medical doctor as the Dean of the department would provide a very good pre-medical science program so that is why I chose IVC.

Laura, from Colombia
OPT in Social & Behavioral Sciences:

The classes at IVC helped to develop my critical thinking skills and improve my English.  The experience with the professors was really good! They will help you when you have questions about the class and they have office hours. Office hours were very helpful especially for me as an international student because I could always go to office hours to ask questions to better understand the concepts.
